HVAC Zoning
It can be quite difficult to heat or cool your home evenly. Whether you are noticing hot and cold spots from the living room to the bedrooms or the upstairs and downstairs.
Your home has completely different temperatures, HVAC zoning can truly make a difference.
A zoned heating and cooling system allows you to heat and cool different areas of your home independently. That way it maximizes air flow to where it is needed most. In other words, zoning cuts down on energy waste and creates a more comfortable living environment for all.
Why Is My Home Heating & Cooling Unevenly?
There a number of factors that can contribute to uneven temperatures in your home, including:
- The Direction of the windows
- Window Quality
- Room location
- Sun Exposure
- Room Size
- And more
How Does It Work?
A zone heating and cooling system works by installing a Zone Controller, 2 Motorized Dampers in the homes ductwork with 2 thermostats, converting your heating and cooling system into 2 ZONES or AREAS of your home. These 2 zones could be Living and Sleeping areas or Upstairs and Downstairs. With a thermostat in each zone, you can independently set the thermostat to the desired Heating & Cooling temperature for that zone.
Benefits of Zoned HVAC Systems
There are a number of benefits that come with installing an electronic zoning system in your home, including:
- Works with your existing Heat & Cool system
- Separate temperature control of each zone
- You could SAVE up to 30% on energy cost
- Maximizes overall system capacity
- Stops the HOT and COLD spots
- Fully automatic operations
